The short version. We collect what you type into a form and nothing else. No advertising trackers, no Google Analytics, no Facebook pixel, no cookies except the one that keeps you signed in. We have never sold an email address and we do not intend to start.
If you create an account, we store the email address and display name you give us. If you sign up for alerts, we store your email address and the county or name you asked us to watch. If you send us a tip, an advertising enquiry or a removal request, we store what you typed into that form so we can reply. That is the entire list of information you actively give us.
For traffic measurement we use Cloudflare Web Analytics, which is privacy-first by design: it sets no cookies, does not fingerprint visitors, and does not build a profile of you across sites. It tells us how many people read a page, not who they were. Our hosting provider also keeps standard server logs, which include IP addresses, for security and abuse prevention.
We do not run advertising trackers, we do not use Google Analytics or the Facebook pixel, and we have never sold or rented an email address. We do not intend to start.
Some things are stripped before anything reaches the site, regardless of what a source agency hands us: juvenile records, Social Security numbers, driver's license and state ID numbers, and dates of birth. That filtering happens at the point the record is collected, not at the point it is displayed, so the data never lands in our database in the first place.
Your email is used to send you the alerts you asked for, to reply to something you sent us, and to tell you about material changes to your account. Alert emails include an unsubscribe link and it works immediately. You can ask us to delete your account and everything attached to it by writing to us through the contact page.
We share information with the vendors that make the site run — hosting, database, email delivery, analytics — and only to the extent they need it to provide that service. We disclose information to law enforcement only when a valid legal process requires it.
The site sets no advertising or tracking cookies. If you sign in, your browser holds a session token so you stay signed in; clearing your browser data signs you out. That is the only cookie-like storage we use.
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from them. Juvenile arrest records are never published here, regardless of what a source makes available.
We link to court sites, sheriff's offices, NamUs, the New Mexico Department of Public Safety registry, and the businesses listed in our directory. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for what they do with your information once you leave.
When we change this page we update the date at the top. Material changes get a notice on the site, and if they affect subscribers, an email.
